NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Coast Guard Academy here announced Tuesday the schedule of events for the 130th Commencement Exercises week.
The schedule of events is provided for friends and family members of graduating cadets, as not all events are open to the public.
Reservations and tickets for events are coordinated through the Coast Guard Academy Parent's Association (http://www.uscgaparents.org/).

7 p.m. - Class of 2011 moonlight cruise (tickets Required)
Sunday, May 15, 2011
9 a.m. - Protestant worship service: Chapel
10 a.m. - Coffee in Chapel
11 a.m. - Baccalaureate service: Chapel
12:30 p.m. - "Gradfest" class of 2011 picnic (food service until 3 p.m., activities continue until 4 p.m.) (tickets Required)
7 p.m. - Sunset evening colors parade: Washington Parade Ground (open to the public)

7 a.m. - Parent/cadet golf tournament (advanced reservations required)
9 a.m. - Classrooms and laboratories open to parents and guests until 11 a.m.
9 a.m. - Seamanship and Sailing Center open to parents and guests until 11 a.m.
9 a.m. - Chase Hall open to parents and guests until 11 a.m.
7 p.m. - Commencement dinner and ball: Premier Ballroom, MGM Grand Hotel at Foxwoods Resort (tickets required)

9 a.m. - Parade of cadet regiment: Washington Parade Ground (open to the public)
10:30 a.m. - Individual academic and military awards ceremony: Leamy Hall Auditorium
11 a.m. - Support groups and associations (Alumni, Parents, Spouse, CPOA, CGEA and CGES)
presentation tables: Leamy Ballroom
12:30 p.m. - Luncheon for first class cadets, guests and academic award presentations: Cadet Wardroom

5 p.m. - Athletic awards reception: Cadet Wardroom
Wednesday, May 18, 2011 (times subject to change)
7:30 a.m. - Base open for guests
11 a.m. - 130th commencement ceremony
Fair weather: Cadet Memorial Field
Foul weather: Leamy Hall Auditorium
Parents and guests are asked to be seated by 10:30 a.m.
