CGA instructor made honorary chief

U.S. Coast Guard Command Master Chief Petty Officer Frank Jennings and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard Michael Leavitt designate Dr. Susan Roberts with honorary chief anchors Monday, June 20, 2011, at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. Roberts has been an instructor at the Leadership Development Center since 2008. 

As an English instructor, Roberts has become a respected coach and mentor for the Coast Guard chief's corps. Her professionalism, advocacy and support of the chiefs' corp is similar to that expected of any chief petty officer.

Roberts was nominated as an honorary chief for her service as an instructor of English, grammer and writing to several key senior enlisted training courses at the academy.
