NEW LONDON, Conn. — The U.S. Coast Guard Academy Cadet Mock Trial Team and Cadet Law Society are scheduled to host the Fifth Annual Guardian Invitational Mock Trial Competition at the academy here Friday through Sunday.

Under the auspices of the American Mock Trial Association, the Coast Guard Academy has hosted the intercollegiate mock trial competition in October each year for the past four years. This year’s event will include more than 22 teams composed of more than 220 students from colleges and universities throughout the country, including American, Amherst, Fordham, Holy Cross, Roger Williams, Rutgers, Seton Hall, the University of Connecticut, the University of Hartford, the University of Massachusetts, Quinnipiac University and Yale.
