NEW LONDON, Conn. – U.S. Coast Guard Academy cadets are scheduled begin construction on two sheds for Habitat for Humanity Saturday at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy here.
About 40 cadets from the 2013 and 2014 classes will be breaking out the nails and hammers to build two 8-by-8 sheds within McAllister Hall to assist Habitat for Humanity with their missions. The sheds will store supplies, materials and tools on future work sites to prevent the necessity of transporting supplies each build day.
The 2013 and 2014 classes are sponsoring two Habitat for Humanity homes scheduled to be built in New London in the fall.
